Through the Design+Build delivery method, Loven Contracting built UniSource Energy’s new office and administration facility in Cottonwood, Arizona. The 16,000 SF facility included a 13,000 SF Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) for office and warehouse use and a 3,000 SF three-sided load-bearing masonry structure for shop and storage. The 5.75-acre site was developed to include parking, equipment yards, and material storage.

To reduce lead times and minimize costs, the team implemented value engineering measures, including switching from open-cell to closed-cell roof insulation. When extended design lead times threatened to impact the schedule, a two-week accelerated turnaround by our team successfully reestablished momentum and avoided cost escalation during the holiday season. The team completed the project on time and on budget.
