YRMC East Campus Emergency Upgrades
The high-complexity Yavapai East campus emergency upgrades project, completed on an occupied campus, required operation coordination and noise mitigation controls to reduce the impact on active operations.
The design+build project with DHE (electrical engineer) and Orcutt-Winslow (design team) includes design and construction phases. The team proficiently mitigated site logistics adjacent to an active helicopter pad and ED entrance.
The scope of work included the installation of three (3) new Caterpillar 1.5 kw generators and associated site work within the existing plant yard location and additional small masonry building additions to enclose the new electrical switch gears. The project included an updated controls system, commissioning process’, and integration to the hospital’s BACnet. In addition, the project also included upgrades to the existing fuel piping and control supply, monitor, and control fuel for three (3) 400-gallon day tanks connected to the existing bulk storage tank with a new fueling station.
